Meet Bec Vincent, Business Analyst, Huddler by Diversus
Bec found her ideal fit at Diversus, driven by her quest for an IT consulting role that resonated with both her professional aspirations and personal values.
“Diversus truly resonated with my values, which became strikingly apparent during my interview process. I was genuinely impressed that the Directors themselves conducted my interview, and equally so by the significant representation of women in technical positions in the firm.” Bec said.
Prior to joining the Huddler team, Bec contributed her expertise to various significant projects, including engagements with Rio Tinto and Brightwater.
What Bec enjoys most about working at Diversus is the dynamic teamwork experience and the rewarding work.
“At Diversus I feel like I’ve found my “people”. The team has fantastic energy and enthusiasm; they’re both nerdy and adventurous and they truly uplift me,”
“I also love the fantastic mix of technical work – such as building dashboards, analysing large datasets, running configuration scripts – and connecting and engaging with people through activities like facilitating workshops, articulating solutions and concepts and understanding problems,”
“The problem-solving aspect is very rewarding. Recently, I conducted a walkthrough of a project the team completed for a client, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. It was described as having “sizzle” and being “sexy”! It was super satisfying to receive such a positive response for the work the team and I delivered.” Bec said.
One of Bec’s most notable accomplishments is recently changing the water pump on her much-loved car, notable for its pink colour, Bec’s favourite!
“I recently changed the water pump and timing belt on my 1999 Mazda MX-5, having learnt from YouTube videos! It took me a few weeks to complete the job, but I’m proud of pushing through whenever I encountered obstacles.” she said.
Why Bec believes gender equality important for women?
“I think gender equality should be important for everyone, and we will only reach true equality when everyone sees that,”
“To me, gender equality means removing the barriers and biases against women in the workplace, in positions of power and leadership,”
“Equally so, gender equality means removing the barriers and biases against men in caring roles, becoming stay-at-home parents, and displaying emotional vulnerability. The world will be a better place when everyone, regardless of their gender, can live their fullest and happiest lives doing what they love most.” Bec said.
On behalf of all of us here at the Huddler team and Diversus, we’re absolutely thrilled to have you with us, Bec! Your presence adds tremendous value, and we’re excited to continue this journey together.
